SMP eGaming has taken a step forward in its effort to encourage all online and land-based gambling operators to take an active approach towards player protection. The firm revealed its plans of launching the SMP Compliance Academy during the upcoming Responsible Gambling Week.
The online gaming compliance unit of SMP Group has conceived and designed responsible gambling courses that can be undertaken for the entire seven days from November 7-13. The course will cover the main jurisdictions like the Isle of Man, UK, Malta, and Sweden. The course will focus on topics like social responsibility, protecting minors and gambling management tools. The training is for the entire workforce of an organization so that the firm can ensure fair and responsible gaming.
Managing director of SMP eGaming, Ted Pepper, said,
“Responsible gambling is absolutely the most important factor for online gambling operators to get right (…) We are fully committed to helping the industry improve standards and better protect players and we are unlocking our courses to make these vital learnings accessible to all.”
These courses have been designed to empower the companies with the fundamental skills required to recognize signs of problem gambling. Additionally, the operators are also trained in dealing with problem gamblers and different jurisdictional authority necessities that can help them take actions for a more vigorous and responsible gambling framework.
The business development manager, Gemma Jones, explains that,
“I am looking forward to meeting both our current and prospective clients to raise awareness of responsible gambling and demonstrating how important it is to both organizations and operators.”
