Sportsbet.io to Launch a Campaign to Raise Bitcoin Awareness with Watford Sleeve Sponsor

Sportbet.io, Premier League side Watford FC is launching an educational campaign to raise awareness about bitcoin. The campaign is going to present the logo of Bitcoin (₿) on the sleeves of the official shirts all through the year-long campaign season.

It will mainly make people aware and educate about virtual currencies and provide more information about digital asset’s benefits.

Justin Le Brocque, Head of Sportsbet.io Marketing, said:

The crypto community have been hugely supportive of us since we began, so putting the Bitcoin logo on the sleeve felt like a fun way to give something back while also showing them our support.”

Some of the biggest challenges we, and others like us, the face is raising awareness, dispelling common myths around cryptos and educating the public on the advantages and opportunities presented by cryptocurrencies.”

He also said that

Our partnership with Watford marks a major disruption in the world of traditional sports sponsorship, and by adding the Bitcoin logo we hope this world’s first partnership will create even more buzz around cryptocurrencies.”

The operator of gambling & betting made a deal of 3 years in June this year in order to be the team’s main sponsor for shirts. The incident is also representing the first company on blockchain & cryptocurrency to be appearing on a shirt for Premier League. After the announcement, Sportsbet.io launched the campaign by the name ‘Know No Borders.’ This represents the company’s dedication to keeping players at the gist of the acts, regardless of their nation, team, sport or currency. To deliver the best gaming services, the company operates in a gamut of fiat & cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.

The shirt sponsorship is planned to be executed with crowd-funding with Sportsbet.io letting anyone with Bitcoin cash to collaborate in the perks set aside for the sponsors i.e., Watford FC.

The ones donating to the cause will be offered an opportunity for LED space bidding that is beamed live while the matches happen. 8 of them will also be able to use the Bitcoin box along with winning an exclusive merch of Watford FC.

Hornets’ Chairman & CEO, Scott Duxbury spoke:

Placing the Bitcoin logo on a Premier League shirt is something that challenges the accepted norm. We’re excited about the partnerships and the potential for new global conversations that it could help start for our club.”

To honor the sponsorship for Bitcoin with Bitcoin holders this Sunday, the company will also give away 2 free mbtc Bet to the Sportsbet.io players, if the Watford scores against Arsenal.
