The WSOP Winter Main Event has concluded with VeryMerry from Mexico collecting a major portion of the prize pool of $11,367,985. It was a $1,700 buy-in Main Event that registered 7,039 entrants, out of which only 862 could make their way to the final day. The title-winning prize pool went on to be 10% more than what was advertised as a guarantee—$10 million.
It began the final lap after Cocooo left the table for the 10th position. The remaining nine players went on to dig as deep as possible at the final table.
A total of two players from Mexico claimed the top spots. VeryMerry won the title, and Pavel EzzzGame Plesuv followed VeryMerry to the second spot. There was a close game between the two; however, it ended with EzzzGame running out of options to negotiate a deal further. There was a difference of $300,000 in prize money, courtesy of the hands that VeryMerry ended up with.
A WSOP Circuit ring goes with the title as well. VeryMerry ended the one-on-one battle with EzzzGame for the top prize of $1,184,690, while the second position gave away $887,777.
The third spot has gone to Sergey ‘z1gzag’ Konovalov, a Russian champion, who took away $665,778 with him. This victory came only after dynastyfuren was eliminated for the 4th spot. Due to his performance at the main event table, dynastyfuren from Japan found a consolation prize of $499,303 satisfactory.

All nine of the top players were guaranteed to win more than $100,000. It did happen as takemeaway, who stood in the 9th position, went back with $118,523, meaning everyone else in the rank did end up winning more than the committed prize value.
Croatia surely welcomed Artem Shaganov with open arms after bringing back a winning amount of $158,001. accurate91 held onto the fort but ended up losing to Touch of Class for the 7th position and the prize value of $210,646. Touch of Class, on the other hand, went home with $280,847 and the 6th position on the list.

pedrinhoOo has taken home $138,725 in the $840 Stocking Stuffer Bounty Superstack. Transurfing and FoldemBuddy won $170,151 and $63,543 for participating in a $210 New Year’s Mystery Bounty and a $525 PLO Ho Ho Bounty Special, respectively.
Their winning amounts are inclusive of bounty payments. Blaz Zerjav made it to the top in the $1,500 6-Max Championship NLH for prize money of $192,329.
