WPT World Online Championship 8-Max Won By Gavin Cochrane

Shining as one of the world’s most popular online poker platform, partypoker has released a post announcing Gavin Cochrane from England as the unprecedented winner of the WPT World Online Championship 8-Max event. The globally celebrated WPT World Online Championships tournament began on July 17 and shall continue until September 8 on partypoker network. The partypoker team proudly revealed the winner’s name on its Twitter handle.

As per the post, Gavin Cochrane has been showered with a plethora of exciting prizes, hefty rewards, and valuable fame in the world of online casino gaming. The long-list of prizes received by him included:

  • Whopping prize amount of $540,664 worth
  • A Hublot watch
  • Baccarat Crystal Tumbler set
  • Lifetime Ticket to the WPTTOC
  • Name engraved on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup

Cochrane kickstarted the final table round with one-third of the chips in play and a stack of double the size of his competitor. After the five hours of hustle, Cochrane kicked off five out of his eight rivals to become the first player to enter the WPT Champions Club by winning an online poker event. The star player gave stiff competition to Thomas Boivin, who ended up as the first runner-up of the tournament. He earned a payout of $388,118 worth from his game.

This year in May, partypoker announced its collaboration with World Poker Tour to launch one of the biggest online tournaments in the history of the WPT Main Tour event, the WPT Online Championships. The buy-in and the prizes offered in the WPT World Online Championships were bigger and grander in comparison to the previous tournaments. The prize pool of $10,000 buy-in attracted players from around the world who put in their best tactics to win the auspicious title, and the money decided for the winners. The event is the second WPT Main Tour collaboration taking place on partypoker.
