Shaun Deeb has won five bracelets from the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Now he has done it again and won the first ever WSOPC Turning Stone $1,700 Main Event, along with an amount to the tune of $275,916 and his first circuit ring. In the second position, it happened to have been his opposing player, Giyeon Han, who walked off with the amount of $170,528.
The WSOPC Turning Stone tournament occurred between March 16 and March 27, 2023. Sixteen No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha events were part of the famous and big event. The main event required 1,070 participants to compete for a total of $1,621,050 in prize money.
Deeb, who happens to be a New Yorker, had the upper hand throughout the game session. According to him, he happened to have been up against a couple of really tough opponents but was indeed extremely pleased with the result and his winnings. Apparently, he began his poker journey playing at the same casino. He has also been at it for the last twenty years. However, on the WSOP circuit, he has been unable to make any real killings. It was only in March 2022 that he came in third place in the WSOPC Turning Stone event, carrying a winning amount of $11,455.
A year after that, Deeb received the ring by defeating Joseph Rice, David Kuder, Matthew Wantman, and Paul Ross. Now he seems to be on a winning wagon after his win in the opening of the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. event in the PokerGO Tour Mixed Games festival and leaving the table with a total of $208,800. Prior to that, he had won the amount of $121,500, being in fourth position in a PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $25,000 PLO High Roller.
Some time back and in the same series, Michael Perrone of Chicago made his winnings at a $400 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack by taking his third circuit ring, along with the winning amount of $77,407. There happened to have been some other winners, like Timothy Russ, who managed to get his first-ever ring, along with his highest earnings, to $116,971. Jeffrey Kurtz also took home his second ring, along with a winning amount of $37,653.
