Betmgm Announced as Lpga’s Official Betting Operator

Leading sports betting and entertainment company, BetMGM will be the Partner and Official Betting Operator of the LPGA Tour, according to an announcement made by the parties.

The LPGA or Ladies Professional Golf Association is an American organization for female golfers. The organization is headquartered at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida, and is best known for running the LPGA Tour, a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female professional golfers from around the world.

On Wednesday, the LPGA officially announced its multi-year agreement with BetMGM. As a part of its contract with LPGA, BetMGM will feature LPGA odds in its betting menu, along with the PGA Tour, the European Tour, and other prominent sporting events.

BetMGM can utilize MGM’s current sponsor relationships with several popular Tour players like Natalie Gulbis, Michelle Wie West, Cristie Kerr, Anna Nordqvist, Alison Lee, and Danielle Kang since it is a partner of MGM Resorts. MGM Resorts has supported the women’s game for many years through its Golf Ambassador program.

At the beginning of the year, MGM Resorts collaborated with the LPGA Tour for the Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play, which was its first one after the last match-play in 2017. The event was hosted at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, one of the world’s most exclusive golf courses owned by MGM Resorts. This event is also well-known among various events for betting on golf.

BetMGM will now be able to advertise and promote its sports betting products and services with the Official LPGA Tour Partner logo. Brian Carroll, senior vice president of global media distribution for the LPGA stated that the association was pleased to partner with BetMGM in order to provide more opportunities for fans to interact with the LPGA and learn about its incredible athletes. He added that sports betting sites and digital gaming are key elements of the future of sports, and BetMGM is at the forefront of both opportunities.

Matt Prevost, BetMGM chief revenue officer said that BetMGM’s advanced betting technology provides a user-friendly experience for LPGA fans and a myriad of betting options to choose from. Expressing his optimism, Prevost said that the team at BetMGM looks forward to working with the LPGA and engaging with its fanbase through BetMGM’s market-leading products.
