Lenovo’s Gaming Smartphone to Make Its Debut in 2020 Under Legion Brand
Lenovo is expected to launch a gaming smartphone that will reportedly become available in early 2020. The smartphone will be launched under its renowned Legion brand. Legion has amassed massive popularity for manufacturing gaming devices and accessories in the past.
The smartphone is likely to face stiff competition from popular brands such as Asus, Razer, Nubia, and Black Shark gaming smartphones.
It appears that Lenovo has taken a leaf out of the success story of Asus. Asus witnessed massive success with its ROG gaming phone series that has been derived from the ROG series of gaming computers.
According to highly placed sources, Lenovo is currently in the testing phase and may soon introduce its first gaming smartphone.
The demand for gaming smartphone witnessed a sharp spike. If we compare a gaming smartphone with a regular one, a gaming smartphone is equipped with a display having a higher refresh rate, higher RAM, and faster storage. A gaming smartphone offers you a better passive or active cooling system for receiving continued peak CPU/GPU performance.
When it comes to the specification of Lenovo’s gaming smartphone, it is likely to feature either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or 865. It will offer huge 8GB RAM AND 128GB onboard storage. The display of the yet to be launched smartphone will be AMOLED with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Earlier this year in April, Vice President of Lenovo Chang Cheng confirmed reports about the gaming smartphone. It is widely tipped to be launched in Q1 of 2020.
