Martin Buday and Jake Collier are set to compete for UFC on April 15
The UFC is kicking off 2023 with a bang, scheduling high-octane fights one after the other. Jake Collier vs. Martin Buday became the latest addition to the UFC’s recent list of fight announcements.
According to MMA Junkie, the heavyweights are set to fight at UFC Fight Night on April 15. There has not been any announcement regarding the venue for the fight. However, the news alone intrigued the majority of the UFC fan base.
It was clear from the fact that several of the best UFC betting sites kept increasing interest in the match. Buday received a chance from UFC after defeating Lorenzo Hood in the Contender Series. Buday is beginning to build a reputation as a formidable opponent with a record of 11-1 in MMA and 2-0 in UFC.
On the other hand, Collier has been on a lukewarm streak, dropping out of three of the past four fights. With a record of 13-8 in MMA and 5-7 in the UFC, the fighter is not the favorite to win the bout. While many fans argue about two of Collier’s losses being split decisions, the fighter still boasts a winning streak below 50%.
Besides this fight, the UFC has scheduled another major fight for the evening. Denise Gomes vs. Bruna Brasil is also fixed for April 15, which will make the event a major eye-catcher.
Fans are also keeping an eye out for the Petr Yan vs. Mera Dvalishvili fight scheduled for UFC Fight Night 221. The match is the headline event, enticing UFC fans all over the world. Unlike the event on April 15, UFC Fight Night 221 now has five confirmed fights. They are:
- Petr Yan vs Merab Dvalishivli
- Sedriques Dumas vs Abu Azaitar
- Karl Williams vs Lukasz Brzeski
- Ariane Lipski vs JJ Aldrich
- Kyler Phillips vs Raphael Assuncao
