Brad Marchand secures hat trick to help Bruins defeat Jackets

The weekend National Hockey League (NHL) game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Boston Bruins brought out the best in Brand Marchand.

The captain showed immense resilience to help the Bruins make a 3-1 comeback. After trailing 1-0 for two periods, Marchand took matters into his own hands and secured a hat trick.

Two of these goals came on power plays across a span of 5:50. The player has been in red-hot form in the past two games, having scored four out of his 11 goals. The season has been an uphill battle for Marchand, as the Bruins captain went goalless for eight straight games.

However, after scoring his career’s sixth hat trick, the player has made a stunning comeback. The player got support from Charlie McAvoy who assisted Marchand in the final two goals.

Similarly, Jeremy Swayman performed as a wall, securing 24 saves against the Blue Jackets. The Bruins have won three back-to-back games after losing against the Blue Jackets on Monday. For NHL betting enthusiasts, Swayman’s stellar performance could be a crucial factor to consider when assessing the Bruins’ form and potential outcomes in upcoming matchups.

As for the Columbus Blue Jackets, the team looked dominant for the majority of the match. Boone Jenner scored the only goal for the Blue Jackets, while Spencer Martin made 25 saves. Even then, Columbus registered their third defeat in five games. The most recent game ended with a 28-25 shot advantage for the Bruins.

Jenner ended the deadlock with only 35 seconds remaining in the middle frame. The Blue Jackets maintained an 8-6 shot advantage for 20 minutes. However, Marchand registered the equalizer 1:56 minutes into the third.

The player helped the Bruins get into the lead at 5:37 before confirming the hat trick at 7:46. Marchand certainly was the star for the Bruins, who looked to be in trouble for a major part of the game.
