Cowboys Head Coach refuses to discuss Final Play against 49ers
The stage was set, and every NFL fan had their eyes on the Dallas Cowboys. The fan favorites played against the San Francisco 49ers, but the game ended in massive confusion.
The Cowboys’ squad was trailing by seven due to poor execution in the final moments. The team entered with a unique formation where no offensive lineman played at the standard spot. Even the running back, Ezekiel Elliott, was ready to pass the ball to Dak Prescott.
However, once the ball was snatched, it ended abruptly with a thud. Similarly, the season ended for the Cowboys, who suffered a 19-12 defeat to the 49ers. The San Francisco 49ers will play against the Eagles next week.
Both the 49ers and Cowboys boast a huge fan base, so their games were being closely followed. Many enthusiasts had even placed bets on the Cowboys across multiple NFL betting sites. However, the bizarre play at the end was enough to shatter many dreams.
When asked about the play, Mike McCarthy (head coach) said it did not get going. Mike refused to talk in-depth about it but said that whatever happened was obviously not the plan. It was a gadget play to end it, and the team has only made it as a last-play situation call.
Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys owner, stated that they had the game until the final 3–4 minutes. It felt sick watching the ending, and everyone had expected something different.
Needless to say, the ending did not bode well with the fans either. The 49ers played completely passively when there were 10 seconds left on the clock as the Cowboys tried to capitalize on it. However, the team did not show any extra effort, which resulted in a frustrating end for them.
