Global Gaming Women sees an increase in membership

As per the statement made by Kelly Hatch, the Executive Director of Global Gaming Women, the membership count has increased exponentially over time. It consists of two permanent employees and is essentially a non-profit organization.

Presently, the group takes credit for having a membership count of 7,780, involving all fifty states in the US. The 850 members belonging to all parts of the world amount to a rise of 30% as compared to 2022, which is indeed encouraging. Their next target will be Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

The membership of the GGW will be restructured in 2024, as nearly half of the members are employed as administrators. Hatch asserts that this must alter in order to incorporate a greater number of youths into their organization.

According to the gaming news, the year 2023 saw a growth in the organization’s social media efforts. Instagram increased by 66.2%, while Linkedin increased by 45%. This is a good sign for the next generation.

Hatch mentions the fact that $410,000 has been dished out in the form of scholarships related to various seminars and events. In turn, they came in for an enormous number of fresh applications in terms of scholarships. In Hatch’s opinion, the conferences have a positive impact on the attendees.

GGW has six conferences in the offing in 2024. Three of them will be organized in Las Vegas, and there will be a single one at River City Casino and Hotel in St. Louis, along with Hollywood Casino in Greektown and Hollywood Casino in Charles Town Races in West Virginia.

Presently, the organization has only two permanent employees; they rely on volunteers. According to a 2023 release, GGW members put in $1.4 million worth of volunteering. It is an encouraging factor and needs further changes to accommodate more members.
