MGM Resorts and BetMGM join forces with Kindbridge initiatives

A partnership has been established between BetMGM and MGM Resorts International. The funds will be allocated to the Kindbridge Research Institute and Kindbridge Behavioral Health, both of which are critical for treating gambling addiction and promoting dental health. This partnership aims to provide veterans and individuals with wagering addictions in multiple U.S. states and Ontario, Canada, with mental health assistance.

Locally situated in Las Vegas, the MGM Resorts have pledged to contribute $100,000 to the Kindbridge Research Institute, which is conducting research on a treatment trial for veterans habituated to gambling. At this time, the objective is to alleviate the psychological issues of veterans who are problem gamblers and reduce their gambling inclinations.

According to the casino news, MGM Resorts’ Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, Stephen Martino, exemplified the organization’s unwavering commitment to providing assistance to wounded or ailing military personnel and their families. As an ardent advocate for the research, he asserted that it has the potential to substantially ameliorate the circumstances of these military personnel and their families.

Treatment providers affiliated with the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Veterans Affairs Residential Recovery and Renewal Center will collaborate to conduct the research. As part of the 50x4vets program, a Kindbridge Research Institute endeavor to increase research on wagering disorder in veterans by a factor of fifty over the course of four years, this study was conducted.

BetMGM will further strengthen its partnership with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to provide referrals for problem gambling in the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, and Nevada, as well as Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. BetMGM has been a participant in the Kindbridge Colorado Pilot Program for the past six months. In light of the increasing prevalence of online wagering, Rhea Loney, the Chief Compliance Officer of BetMGM, emphasized the critical need for expanded treatment and care provisions for problem gamblers.

In addition to the collaboration between the online operator and the mental health service provider, it provides links to extensive mental health screening methods, treatment options, and group support services. When individuals desired to abstain from wagering activities in the past, the referral sent to them for voluntary treatment was the threat of self-exclusion; this is an undeniable fact of coordination.

MGM Resorts and BetMGM also endorse March as Problem Gambling Awareness Month in conjunction with the National Council on Problem Gambling. GameSense messaging will be conspicuously featured in the BetMGM app and throughout MGM Resorts properties nationwide throughout March.

GameSense is the responsible gaming program that the British Columbia Lottery Corporation devised and licensed to MGM Resorts in 2017. Regarding responsible gambling, the program emphasizes proactive, transparent, and constructive interactions with visitors and clients.

Have A Game Plan, an initiative of the American Gaming Association, will also maintain its association with BetMGM and MGM Resorts. Bet Responsibly is an initiative to raise awareness about the importance of legal, responsible sports betting among both novice and seasoned gamblers.
