Microsoft’s biggest online gaming service provider, Xbox Live is down. Users are experiencing issues while signing the Xbox consoles. People are unable to access some of the applications and games because the service went offline. The issues were reported with core functionality from basic signing to the search functionality and account management.
To access certain apps, users need to sign in to an Xbox One console such as Spotify, Plex, Amazon video, etc. During the outage of Microsoft’s Xbox, The Verge has become unable to access these apps. On the other hand, Netflix will work, but games like Fortnite and Destiny 2 will not run without signing in. Other online services were also affected by Xbox digital storefront like TV and movie streaming services.
The issues were active for a very short time from 3 PM to 5 PM. The support account tweeted around 5 PM that now signing into the gaming platform is fine, but after some time, they reported that there are still some issues with group chat voice. This year, it is the second time that Xbox Live has big issues. In January, it was reported that the service was down for a few hours and it caused black screens for some users.
Many users complained about the gaming platform. One user said that the application is not allowing him to sign in. Another user said that the application is showing a message that you need the internet. But his internet was good and then also, he can still use Netflix on Xbox one but signing in is taking him to nowhere. The support team of the application was also not responding.
The Live service status of Xbox reported that engineers and developers of Microsoft are already in work to resolve the problems that arose in the gaming platform. They will update additional details as soon as they fix it. There are investigating issues in multiple services, and they appreciate the ongoing patience. The reason behind the outage was unclear and the time is taken to solve the issue was also unknown. But, the maintenance was scheduled within the same day.
