Boston Celtics grab a victory over Chicago Bulls in the NBA

There was a slight split within the teams when a call for an All-Star NBA game was made. Some players on the Celtics chose to stay back and take a break. It is safe to assume that break time has paid out well enough; for now, they have a win to their name. This happened against the Chicago Bulls, who could be their opponent in the playoff event starting in April this year. The final tally was 129-112.

This marks the 7th consecutive win for the Celtics and the second consecutive loss for the Bulls. Both reside in the Eastern Conference of the NBA.

Boston felt threatened when Nikola and Andre rose to the occasion. However, they soon found a way to reach the net. The Celtics started better with 31 points, while Chicago rallied behind with 23 points at the United Center. In the second quarter, the Bulls attempted to make a strong move. They did so to some extent, as the deficiency was then for the Boston Celtics.

The next two quarters put things into perspective in a better manner. For starters, the Celtics managed to stay up throughout the remaining time on the clock. There was no chance for the Bulls to inch higher. This is evident from the tally of 21-37 and 29-33 in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.

Derrick White and Jayson Tatum led Boston with 28 and 25 points, respectively, in that order. Both registered 5 assists each, along with 3 and 7 rebounds, respectively. Next in line was Jaylen Brown, with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Their basketball skills topped the efforts put in by Nikola and Coby White in the NBA event.

Nikola and White were restricted to 22 and 20 points, respectively. DeMar DeRozan contributed 19 points to the board, along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. A few more basketball stats reflect that the Celtics played better than the Bulls. Their 3-pointer was 48.9% in comparison to 35.7% for their opponent. They did fall behind in terms of assists but made up for it with a higher number of blocks—11 against 2.

The Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers are contesting for a win at Chase Center as the article is being drafted. Golden State had a lead of 126-107 in the fourth quarter of the basketball game.
