New Zealand wins the ODI series against India

The third and final ODI between India and New Zealand was called off due to rain at Christchurch. India suffered a loss in the 3-match ODI series versus New Zealand. The outcome of the result is as follows: 

India was all out, scoring 219 runs in 47.3 overs, in which the majority of the score was contributed by Washington Sundar with 51 runs and Shreyas Iyer with 49. In response to that, New Zealand easily scored 104 runs in 18 overs before the rain lashed down.

New Zealand won the toss for the third ODI and chose India to bat first. The hosts New Zealand, won the series opener by 1-0, seven wickets, and the following two matches were abandoned due to rain. The Indian team was bowled out for a mere 219 runs; on the other hand, New Zealand scored 104/1 in 18 overs. India began slowly, with two players contributing majorly to the scoreboard. Washington Sundar got the attention for scoring in their first attempt, but sadly there has not been a lot of talk for Shreyas Iyer. Hence, out of three matches, the 1st match was on New Zealand’s side, and the rest two were called off due to rain. Checking the average scores of all three matches, New Zealand was declared the winner of this ODI series.
