Football fans have never been more excited for the 85th annual National Football League (NFL) that will be held in Nevada this coming April 23-25.
Things have changed since the combine. The NFL ended all pre-draft visits until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic, which prohibited all in-person draft visits that involved draft-eligible players. This mandate, however, does not mean that there are no player prospects for this year’s FanDuel NFL draft odds.
- Chase Young of Ohio State Buckeyes
Chase Young has been dubbed to have “generational talent,” a name that he got during the draft class. Many consider him as a complete freak, a total beast, and a predator. Young earned these names while training with the Buckeyes.
He is known to be an excellent pass-rusher, with 16.5 sacks, which broke the Buckeyes record for the number of sacks. In 2018, he finished with 9.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles during that season.
- Joe Burrow of LSU Tigers
After the injury of Tua Tagovailoa, a surveying league source found that people are voting for Joe Burrow as the quarterback who will be the first to be selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.
He was known for being an excellent player for LSU in 2019, by completing 76% of his passes for 5,671 yards with six interceptions and 60 touchdowns. He notched 368 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. He can start the NFL with his size, mobility, and accuracy.
A vital trait for a quarterback is the accuracy, which Burrow has. He is known to be an accurate passer. He has impressive anticipation, a sense of timing, and passing instincts. He also throws catchable balls that make it easy for his receivers to receive the ball.
His mobility is also something that should not be messed with. He has the athleticism and agility to dodge pass rushers and make it harder for the defense to do their jobs because of his ability.
- Jeff Okudah of Ohio State Buckeyes
Jeff Okudah is a cornerback for the Buckeyes. He is pegged to be one of the best players for this season because of his big size, intelligence, speed, and direction. His size makes it easier to guard receivers and the speed to run whenever there are threats against his team.
His press is fluid and smooth, which makes him effective when he opens up. He is a dependable open-field tackler, and he can easily spot where the football is on the field.
- Tua Tagovailoa of Alabama Crimson Tide
Although Tua Tagovailoa suffered from a broken hip before the Draft, he has been receiving positive improvements on his medical reports, which makes him eligible to work for the 2020 NFL Draft. Although this kind of injury is not common in football, his medical report says that he will fully recover and play again.
In 2019, he completed 71% of his passes for 2,840 yards with three interceptions and 33 touchdowns. He was excellent at getting the ball to the hands of his play-makers and secured the ball when needed.
He also has a good running ability, notably in 2018, when he ran five rush touchdowns. His athleticism and mobility make him buy time and escape the defense of the others. He is also an aggressive passer, which shows his arm strength. He does well in making passes.
- Jordan Love of Utah State
Jordan Love is the quarterback for Utah State. He is known to have the good arm strength and excellent agility. In 2019, he completed 62% of his passes for 3,402 yards with 17 interceptions and 20 touchdowns. He also made quite a buzz in 2018, when he completed 64% of his passes for 3,567 yards with six interceptions and 32 touchdowns.
He can also throw strong passes. However, Love still has some issues to address. His field vision is slightly impaired. Love locks his eyes on his primary read but fails to move away.
- Jake Fromm of Georgia Bulldogs
In 2019, Jake Fromm completed 60% of his passes for 2,860 yards with five interceptions and 24 touchdowns. He led the Bulldogs to their win over Florida but has struggled to play against Florida.
In 2018, he completed 67% of his passes for 2,749 yards with six interceptions and 30 touchdowns. Although he suffered an injury in 2017, he still led the Georgia Bulldogs to the championships during that season.
He is generally an accurate quarterback who is an efficient game manager, constantly making good decisions when playing. His physical talent will dictate his future in football, which will likely lead him to get drafted for the NFL Draft 2020.
