NFL Lines & Preview – Try This Parlay in the NFL for Sunday

We’re going to put these three teams together in a parlay for NFL action. Our theme seems to be going with the road squad, and this is no exception.

Let’s look at these games:

PITTSBURGH STEELERS AT BUFFALO BILLS, 1 PM ET

NFL Lines from BetOnline: Bills -14 (-105) / Total 45 (Over -115, Under -105)

Rookie Kenny Pickett gets his first NFL start in this one, and as we saw last weekend, he threw three interceptions but at the same time brought a little life into the Steeler offense. And that’s what they need. With the chance to break the ice and get a week of practice under his belt with the starters, he’ll be better.

We know how formidable Buffalo can be. And it was impressive how they were able to come back from a 17-point deficit to beat the Baltimore Ravens last week. But they’ve had a problem playing four full quarters these last couple of weeks. And this is a lot of points to lay.

If you took the Bills, you’d be counting on a blowout. And blowouts aren’t usually Mike Tomlin’s style. Rather, he has covered eleven of the last 17 games where he has been an underdog. Plus, with a combative type like Pickett, the Steelers are more likely to go down swinging. We’d prefer to take the points here.

The Play: PITTSBURGH

TENNESSEE TITANS AT WASHINGTON COMMANDERS, 1 PM ET

BetOnline NFL Betting Line: Titans pick -115 / Total 43

The Commanders have allowed Carson Wentz to get sacked eleven times over the last two games, and that is a red flag for sure. They have some weaponry, but it is not in profusion, so don’t disqualify Mike Vrabel and his staff from being able to put something together to slow them down, especially as they have had to endure injuries on the offensive line (particularly at center).

Tennessee has certainly suffered an offensive line loss (Taylor Lewan). But here is a fact – they have the most potential and threatening offensive force on the field in running back Derrick Henry, who has pounded his way to 306 yards.

We will not ignore another fact – Tennessee has been outgained about a hundred yards a game. But if recent history is any indication, this team has managed to turn itself around as the season progresses. Vrabel rates the coaching edge, and the Titans are coming off back-to-back victories in which, to use a cliche, they found a way to win.

The play: TENNESSEE pick

DETROIT LIONS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS, 1 PM ET

BetOnline NFL Odds & Line: Patriots 3 (-116) / Total 46.5

We can’t imagine that Bailey Zappe expected he’d be put into a precarious position last week, as Brian Hoyer, subbing for Mac Jones, went out with a concussion. Now Zappe is the guy, as Jones still can’t play. And while this may seem like baby steps for the Pats’ offense, Zappe has the benefit of being able to practice for a week with the first-team players. And as Bill Belichick pointed out this week at a press conference, HE is the one with the hands-on influence as to the play-calling.

Both of these teams run the ball very well (Pats 4.5 ypc, Lions 5.9 ypc) and have difficulty defending it (NE 5.1 and Detroit 5.6 ypc on D). So you may look at this as a grind-it-out, clock-chewing game. But we see it a different way. Both of these teams will be able to do what best sets them up to throw the ball, keeping high odds at NFL betting sites. And New England has eight different receivers who have seen between nine and 19 targets thus far. And Jared Goff, the former #1 overall draft pick, is seventh in the league in passer rating (not bad).

New England is #1 in rushing success rate, and Detroit is 30th in yards allowed per drive. But Goff operates best out of play action, and this Lions team is “never say die.” They’ve been in some wild ones. This one could be like that.

The Play: OVER 46.5
