NOVOMATIC takes over HBG Group
NOVOMATIC, the European gaming industry service provider, is persistent in its international expansion course by including one of the biggest transactions in its history after purchasing the HBG Group. NOVOMATIC has set a milestone for becoming one of the biggest concessionaires in Italy.
The takeover approval by the Italian Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies (AAMS) also showed significant confidence in the officials in the Group. NOVOMATIC is among the largest gaming markets in the world by revenue and has been operating successfully in Italy for more than 15 years.
The company has been titled as the technology leader for having a high level of confidence based on their licensed customers in the biggest VLT market of Europe. However, HBG Gaming is also among the top operators in the Italian market. It is operative as an Amusement with prizes (AWPs) and a concessionaire of Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs). HGB Gaming is active in the live gaming and sports betting sectors and handles bingo sites.
As per the gaming news, Ryszard Presch, an Executive Board member in NOVOMATIC, highlighted that with the latest acquisition, their company had given a clear sign of international expansion with the chances of making its market share twice the current value, being a concessionaire in the gaming markets of Europe.
Also, Johannes Gratzl, a NOVOMATIC Executive Board member, further added that the successful closure of one of the biggest takeover transactions in the company’s history had set a benchmark for upcoming growth. The current transaction has significantly increased the number of employees to 3000 and above in Italy and more than 21,900 worldwide.
