PointsBet Starts Online Sports Betting In West Virginia

PointsBet is one of the leading digital sports betting operators in the United States at present. They have now announced the launch of their online and mobile-based sports betting operation in West Virginia. This announcement comes in just in time for the most important sporting event in the State, the 2021-2022 NFL Season.

West Virginia will be the seventh State where PointsBet extends its online sports wagering service. Earlier, the service had already been introduced in New Jersey, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan.

CEO of PointsBet USA, Johnny Aitken, described the expansion into West Virginia as a huge opportunity for the company. He believes that sports enthusiasts in West Virginia will appreciate the end-to-end sports betting solutions from PointsBet. Aitken hopes that their high-speed software, along with a very user-friendly interface, will make them the leading online sports betting service in the State and thus joining the list of top sportsbooks of this year.

West Virginia residents will be able to use PointsBet to place wagers on almost all major sporting events like the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, PGA, and WNBA. PointsBet has also announced some lucrative promotional offers to incentivize users in West Virginia. All users who create a new account on PointsBet will get $20 as a free bet without having to make any deposits or place any bets.

West Virginia users were also able to get a booster offer called ‘Take Me home’ that was available on the 15th of August. According to the deal, users got money + 100 odds on any MLB team to score a single run. PointsBet is now also in talks with some industry experts to launch its own proprietary online casino for the residents of West Virginia.

The main mode for PointsBet to market itself to sports lovers will be through NBC Sports. NBC Sports and PointsBet have a marketing partnership that provides for multi-platform promotion of PointsBet to NBC Sports viewers. On gamedays, NBC Sports also runs a live integration with PointsBet.

PonitsBet is also developing its Spanish language platform that will be marketed through the Telemundo broadcasting network. It is evident that PointsBet is making big moves in the online sports betting market, and they now believe that West Virginia is a good opportunity for them to expand their customer base.
