BetMGM inks an agreement with RRKY

BetMGM, which is a top betting and iGaming operator, has inked an understanding with Revolutionary Racing Kentucky (RRKY) for market connectivity. As per the deal details, BetMGM will have the option of shifting its online and retail sports betting platform to Kentucky. This will be made possible after sports betting gets regulated. Further to that, both entities will be engaged in the setting up of a retail BetMGM sportsbook at Sandy’s Racing and Gaming.

According to the CEO of BetMGM, Adam Greenblatt, Kentucky is well known for its inclination towards sports and boasts of a rich fan following. In his opinion, joining hands with Revolutionary Racing will open the doors for them to explore further the online gaming market in Kentucky. In turn, there will be the generation of greater revenue for themselves, as well as for the Kentucky treasury, by way of creating employment and in the form of taxation.

According to the latest betting news, with the introduction of regulated markets in Kentucky and BetMGM receiving the go-ahead for running their operations, the company will get involved in providing online sports betting options. Plans are afoot to establish a 5,200 square feet retail BetMGM Sportsbook in association with Revolutionary Racing at Sandy’s Racing and Gaming. The property is valued at $75 million and is a gaming and entertainment area in Ashland. Following that will be the building of the first quarter horse racetrack and equestrian center in Kentucky, over an area of 182 acres, next to Sandys. The initial races will start in 2025.

As per the CEO of Revolutionary Racing, Prentice Salter, their vision always lay in the direction of setting up a property having international standard amenities in Ashland. In his opinion, this now has become a possibility by tying up with BetMGM, which brings with it world-level online sports betting options.

BetMGM, while it is single-mindedly pursuing its expansion plans, has its eyes firmly on proper gaming awareness. In this regard, the company has introduced a program called GameSense, for which MGM Resorts has the certification. The certification has been issued by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. By incorporating BetMGM’s mobile platforms, users come in for a similar exposure to the GameSense that they have been accustomed to at MGM Resorts worldwide.
