The 2026 WSOP Online series opened on GGPoker with Brazil taking the first title of the year. Raphael Caixeta took home the first bracelet of the year in the $700 7th Annual WSOP Kickoff after beating a field of 3,607 entrants. That event put up a prize pool of $2,398,665, and Caixeta put Brazil at the top of the promotional leaderboards.

Caixeta’s first WSOP bracelet came with $126,912 in placement prize money, based on final table results. If you add up everything, placement and bounties, he earned $207,167 from the tournament. There was more: Caixeta also secured a $30,000 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event package, a significant addition to his first bracelet win. It is a strong opening result for a series that runs for another six weeks.

Raphael Caixeta Takes the First Bracelet

The $700 7th Annual WSOP Kickoff produced a close finish at the top of the final table. Caixeta locked up first place and $126,912, and right behind him was Khaw ‘Apacg’ Chin Wah, who took second for $126,901, a difference of just $11 between them.

‘Lichu89’ ended up third, picking up $98,258. Oleksii ‘ITaketT’ Trotymenko came fourth with $76,084. ‘baidan823’ landed in fifth and took $58,917. Eli ‘Rollpounder’ Kim was sixth for $45,627. Seventh place went to Miguel ‘Zerschlagen’ Angelo Faria Lopes for $35,359. Miriam ‘PinkDevil9’ Tafaj finished eighth and took $27,374, while ‘fantekio058’ rounded out the final table in ninth, earning $21,207.

Who Else Made the Money

The first bracelet event of the series attracted 3,607 players and built a $2,398,665 prize pool. A number of recognizable players made the money, even if they missed the final table. Among them were GGPoker Ambassador Kevin Martin, Niklas Astedt, David Williams, Jessica Tuesl, and Bernhard Binder. Binder, last year’s WSOP Paradise Super Main Event winner, couldn’t add new WSOP Online hardware to his collection this time around.

Though these well known players made things interesting, the final table featured a different cast, and in the end, Caixeta came out on top. That meant the first bracelet of the 2026 online series went to Brazil.

What Comes Next on GGPoker

The WSOP Online schedule on GGPoker continues with Day 2 of the $300 Gladiators of Poker next up. The 2026 WSOP Online series runs until September 29, with 32 bracelets left on the schedule, so a considerable amount of the series remains. The kickoff event set the tone for the rest of the series, and fans can keep up by watching livestreams as tournaments continue. Lex Veldhuis plans to stream his progress on both Twitch and YouTube.

Kevin Martin, who secured cash in the first event, will also keep livestreaming as he chases more results. Although he did not reach the final table, his cash gave him a result to build on as the schedule moves forward. Daniel Negreanu is also preparing to stream his WSOP Online action, though his broadcasts would not start until a bit later in the series. With more than a month to go and 32 bracelets yet to be awarded, this opening event is just the start of the 2026 WSOP Online series.
